Azerbaijan do much to strengthen the material-technical base of the Ministry of Emergencies-Minister
'Azerbaijan has done much to strengthen the material-technical base of
the Ministry of Emergencies, which are now provided with modern
machinery and equipment. In order to strengthen the material-technical
base of the ministry we are negotiating with various US companies', said
K. Heydarov, speaking at a working luncheon hosted by the American
Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Baku.
According to him, in period of its activity his ministry did huge work
to reduce technological and natural risks and minimize the amount of
damage to their communities and the environment of the country.
The minister said that the Azerbaijani side is studying the experience of the structures of various countries in these matters.
"It has special importance. We study the experience of other countries
and international organizations, our experts participate in trainings
and attend specialized schools for emergency management abroad", the
minister said.
Referring to the activities of the American Chamber of Commerce,
bringing together 240 local and foreign companies, in Azerbaijan, the
minister noted its importance in improving the business climate and
market economy in our country.
According to him, the activities of AmCham also promote cooperation
between the companies and businesses in different countries.
