60 Azerbaijani citizens were caught in a snowdrift at the Langan highway during the trip to Iranian province of Ardabil.
According to chairman of the Iranian Red Crescent Society chairman Mahmud Muzaffar, they all have been rescued.
According to him, the people who faced the threat of freezing on the snowbound highway have been provided with warm things.
"They are provided with warm blankets, bread, plums and tins",
Muzaffar said adding that there were also women and children among
Azerbaijani citizens. Their state is satisfactory.
Many cars and people have stuck on snowbound roads as a result of
blizzards in other regions of Iran, including South Azerbaijan
provinces, Gilan, as well as Tehran and Alborza. Part of these highways
are close for transport.
