SIA that they condemned and expressed concern over the physical assault of American journalist Amanda Ericsson and human rights defender from the UK Silvia Davis in Baku on June 15.
"The Press Council condemns fact of pressure on both persons, regards it as an action aiming to create negative opinion about our country."
The Press Council underlined the importance of finding the assaulters and bringing them to account.
Amanda Ericsson appealed to the police office saying that they had undergone physical assault. The fact is being investigated.
