Due to the International Book and Press Exhibition, held in Geneva from April 29 to May 3 Armenia was invited to the exhibition as a guest of honor.
According to the Azerbaijani embassy in Switzerland and Lichtenstein, at the opening ceremony of the exhibition on April 29, Armenia demonstrated materials distorting territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told SIA. The embassy of Azerbaijan immediately informed the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland and organizers of the exhibition and expressed its concern and protest.
Ambassador Murad Najafbeyli met with the heads of the organization and informed about the Azerbaijan’s concerns explaining the wrong points of those materials and demanded to remove these materials from the exhibition.
The embassy sent a note of protest to the Swiss Department of Foreign Affairs requested Switzerland to take relevant measures concerning this issue.
