A member of the Democratic Party, Congressman Daniel Boren assumed office as the co-chairman of the US Congressional Caucus on Azerbaijan in the House of Representatives, the Azerbaijani Embassy to the US told SIA.

At present, he is the rector of the University of Oklahoma and co-chairman of the U.S. President`s Intelligence Advisory Board. Daniel is a grandson of former congressman Lyle Boren.
