Joseph Debono Grech (Malta) and Pedro Agramunt (Spain), co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on the honoring of obligations and commitments by Azerbaijan, will be making a fact-finding visit to Azerbaijan on February 1-3, SİA reports quoting the CE’s official website.
In Baku, talks are scheduled with the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Speaker of Parliament Ogtay Asadov, the Ministers of Justice and National Security, the Prosecutor General and the Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission. They are also due to meet representatives of the political parties, the President of the Supreme Court, the Ombudsman, the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, the diplomatic community and representatives of the media. In Sumgayit , the co-reporters will meet representatives of the local authorities.
The co-reporters will give a press conference at the Council of Europe Office in Baku on 3 February.
