Armenia distributed copies of the fake document on January 20 tragedy
Naira Zohrabyan, the Head of the Committee for European Integration, Parliament of Armenia and member of the Armenian delegation to the CE Parliamentary Assembly distributed copies of the fake document of modern history. The cheeky Armenian deputy gave a copy of the message to all the members.
The fake message of says Armenian protest against the practice of bringing foreign diplomats to the Shahid Alley in Baku during official visits they pay to Azerbaijan.
At the same time the forged document tells that the notorious Shahid Alley is the burial place of the people who murdered and raped Armenians during the Armenian pogroms in Baku, in January 1990. They were killed during clashes with the Soviet troops that had entered the city to put an end to the massacre. "At that times the leaders of the countries strongly condemned the pogroms in Baku. Now, however, representatives of the same countries visit the murderers` burial places, which is unacceptable".
It will be appropriate to remind to the Armenian MP, late at night on January 19, 1990, 26.000 Soviet troops stormed Baku. They acted pursuant to a state of emergency declared by the USSR Supreme Soviet Presidium, signed by President Gorbachev and disclosed to the Azerbaijani public only after many citizens lay wounded or dead in the streets, hospitals and morgues of Baku.
More than 130 people died from wounds received that night and during subsequent violent confrontations and incidents that lasted in February; the majority of these were civilians killed by Soviet soldiers. More than 700 civilians were wounded. Hundreds of people were detained, only a handful of whom were put on trial for alleged criminal offenses.
