"Different from previous meeting current issues and proposals were included." Assistant to the Azerbaijani President, Head of Social and Political Department Ali Hasanov told journalists after the the government-opposition meeting .
"We paid attention not only to the issues to be discussed party leaders asked to convey to president their proposals on pardoning a group of inmates. A number of important issues, including issues on party headquarters, political pluralism were discussed at the meeting." Added Mr Hasanov, SİA informs.
Assistant to the Azerbaijani President stressed that during the meeting the European Games, the importance of informing the international community about Azerbaijan's realities and works done was stressed. European Games allows building the necessary infrastructure in Azerbaijan and gaining experience to hold future Olympic Games. We should promote Azerbaijan's realities, our culture, national and spiritual values in the world through the European Games.
"As a representative of the government, I expressed my gratitude to the parties. The president believes that the government must listen to opinions of the parties. Azerbaijani people definitely support the president's policy. Nevertheless, political parties should have an opportunity to comment on this policy, " highlighted Ali Hasanov.
