"The $45 billion Southern Gas Corridor project will be able to supply neighboring and European countries with energy for 100 years once completed, " President Ilham Aliyev said at the 48th annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank in Baku.
"Establishing energy security is directly linked with natural gas and we have assumed a leading role in this process. The Caspian Sea has been connected to the Mediterranean and the Black Sea for the first time and the country has initiated TAP and TANAP. Azerbaijan constructs pipelines because they are needed for the transportation of fuel as the country doesn't have access to the open sea," added Mr Aliyev.
