Azerbaijan's Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov has today met an Iranian delegation led by Head of the Customs Administration Masoud Karbasian to discuss how to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries, SIA reports.
The Azerbaijani Minister highlighted what had been done in the country to prevent emergency situations and eliminate their consequences.
Mr. Heydarov said relations between Azerbaijan and Iran had entered a new stage following the meetings of presidents Ilham Aliyev and Hassan Rouhani. "Our goal is to successfully implement the tasks set by the heads of state."The Iranian Minister stressed the importance of further strengthening cooperation between various government bodies of the "two friendly and neighboring countries".
The two also exchanged views over other issues of mutual concern.
