Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan has issued a statement on the fact that Armenian official agencies called "saboteurs" the Azerbaijan citizens taken hostage by Armenians, SIA reports.
Armenian media released report quoting Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan’s speech that the Azerbaijani Army is supposedly carrying out various subversive acts involving the criminal elements closely being familiar with the area in the intelligence-subversive groups
Such statements are baseless. The occupied territories are the sovereign lands of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani people cannot be prevented from entering these territories and freely moving there. As claimed by the Armenian side these people haven’t violated the state border. Because the territories under the control of the self-proclaimed regime created illegally as a result of the occupation are the territories of the Azerbaijani Republic recognized by the United Nations.
The criminal leadership of Armenia, including Seyran Ohanyan who are pursuing an aggressive policy against Azerbaijan and participated in the perpetration of the Khojaly genocide will soon appear before the court and their deeds will be given international political and legal assessment.
"The Azerbaijani Armed Forces have all opportunities to perform any combat mission and operation without involving civilians and non-professionals", the Ministry said.
Earlier, Armenians reported about the disarmament of "subversive group" of three Azerbaijanis in Kalbajar region. According to the report, one detainee was killed during the operation and the other two - Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev were captured alive. Armenians claim that they took arms and ammunition on them and criminal case was launched in this regard. Armenians have released their videos as well.
