An Azerbaijani delegation, included representatives of the Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Permanent Delegation to UNESCO and Azerbaijani National Commission for UNESCO have attended the 38th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Doha, Qatar.
During the session, participants also reviewed the report on the Icherisheher reserve.
The Committee hailed the measures taken by the Azerbaijani Government in governing and conservation of the Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve and recommended to improve governing tools in this field.
Head of the reserve Samir Nuriyev also held bilateral meetings with top officials of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee to exchange views on management and conservation of the Icherisheher reserve.
