By results of a survey conducted by the French center of the Arab cultural heritage, together with the Egyptian company Nefertiti Media Production, the First Lady of Azerbaijan, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO Mehriban Aliyeva was awarded the title of "Person of the Year" and "the most influential woman in 2014".
The statement came from director of the Center for Arab cultural heritage Rim Alkatri Belhassous in his letter addressed to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in France
The survey was conducted from March 8, 2013 to January 10, 2014 among students, journalists and Internet users in France and the Arab world .
It included the names of women who are heads of government and heads of large enterprises and charities.
Mehriban Aliyeva was awarded the title for the activity as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, promoting culture and international cultural exchange, achievements in science, health, sports, education, technology, environment, creation of the Baku International Mugham Center, care for homeless children and other merits.
