By Wednesday morning, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine has not received applications, complaints and requests for assistance from the Azerbaijani citizens living in this country.
The diplomatic office itself is working normally, the embassy reported.
The confrontation between the opposition and the authorities in Kiev on Tuesday escalated into riots and led to the re-use of force from both sides. Police repelled the protesters attempting to block the Verkhovna Rada, and then took the main camp of protesters on Maidan in a dense ring.
Opposition supporters seized the building of the Kiev city administration, burned tires near the archway leading into the courtyard of City Hall. Thus, they tried to prevent the entrance of the Berkut servicemen to the building.
