Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov met with the residents of Alibeyli village of Tovuz region.
Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov visited military units on the frontline on February 7, the Ministry’s press service reported.
The Defense Minister was accompanied by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Colonel-General Nejmeddin Sadigov and other high-ranking officers.
The Defense Minister firstly visited Alibeyli village near the frontline, met with the residents and concerned himself with their problems. Following this, they familiarized themselves with the current situation, met with the servicemen on duty, conferred ranks on a group of servicemen and awarded them with medals and valuable prizes. The Defense Minister was familiarized with combat readiness, opportunities and effective use of modern armored vehicles and high level organization of combat duty. The Minister gave relevant instructions to strengthen combat readiness and discipline.
