The Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Republic of Colombia has sent a note to Azerbaijan`s Embassy to Mexico with concurrent accreditation to Colombia, in which it expresses its solidarity with Azerbaijan over the Black January events.
The note says the Republic of Colombia supports the people of Azerbaijan over the Black January events that happened on January 20, 1990 when the Soviet troops stormed Azerbaijan and massacred hundreds of innocent people.
It also says that Colombia recognizes Azerbaijan`s struggle for its self-determination and sovereignty, which met success in 1991.
