The German-Azerbaijani Cultural Society urges compatriots from around the world to support the candidacy of Ilham Aliyev at the upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan.
The German-Azerbaijani Cultural Society, headed by Yashar Niftaliyev, operates in the city of Magdeburg, in the commune of Saxony-Anhalt and implements a number of projects aimed at promoting Azerbaijan.
A statement adopted by the Society noted that Ilham Aliyev is the most worthy candidate for the post of head of state, as it was under his leadership that Azerbaijan has achieved great success in a number of areas.
"Azerbaijan has chosen the correct political line aimed at the restoration of its territorial integrity.
It is no coincidence the German Bundestag - the highest representative body of one of the leading nations of Europe - has adopted a resolution recognizing the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan," the statement says.
Authors of the statement call on the Azerbaijani diaspora in Europe to speak with one voice on issues related to national and state interests of Azerbaijan.
"We believe that the Azerbaijani people will once again trust Ilham Aliyev as the successor of the policy of Heydar Aliyev."
