The former president of Latvia and first female president of the Eastern Europe (1999-2007) Vaira Vike-Freiberga and former President of Finland, co-chair of the UN High-level Panel on Global Sustainability Tarja Halonen have arrived in Azerbaijan to attend High Level Meeting for the Shared Societies Forum organized by Nizami Ganjavi International Center and Club of Madrid with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
Closed discussions would be held on new requirements of the modern world, Millennium Development Goals for 2015, inter-religious understanding, the role of women in society and conflicts in the South Caucasus within High Level Meeting jointly organized by the Center, Club of Madrid, the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, Library of Alexandria, World Academy of Art and Science, Club of Rome.
At the end of the meeting, the UN Secretary-General and UN General Assembly will be addressed on behalf of the aforementioned international organizations.
