"The number of Azerbaijani specialists has been increasing since the half of 1990s. This is very important", said the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at the meeting with the constructors while getting familiarized with the works in West Chirag platform.
The Head of State noted that the aim of the policy is to ensure maximum participation of the Azerbaijani citizens in these works: "We are already constructing such large, world-scale facilities in Azerbaijan. It shows both power of Azerbaijan and the experience of specialists. Such works will be continued in the future, as Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sectors are developing. Several platforms must be constructed in the future. Shahdeniz-2 project will be implemented. I’m very pleased with all these works being carried out in Azerbaijan. Major part of these works is carried out by the Azerbaijani citizens".
