Azerbaijani Embassy has hosted an official reception at Hay Adams hotel in Washington, DC in honor of the outgoing Chief of Protocol of the U.S., Ambassador Capricia Penavic Marshall.
Representatives of the diplomatic corps, high-ranking officials of the Department of State, specialists of the leading analytical centers and congressmen attended the reception.
Delivering a keynote speech, Ambassador Elin Suleymanov spoke about valuable merits of Ms. Marshall during her activity and underlined her contribution to the establishment of mutually beneficial relations between diplomatic missions and the U.S. administration. Characterizing Ms. Marshal as a well-known U.S. diplomat, Ambassador Suleymanov expressed his gratitude to Marshall for her attention and care to the diplomatic corps.
Following this, Marshall delivered a speech and expressed her gratitude to all those who cooperate in flawless implementation of this responsible task. Marshall was especially satisfied that the spirit of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and the U.S. is reflected in all spheres of cooperation and noted that she attaches great importance to the development of relations between the U.S. and Azerbaijan.
Memorial plaque was presented to Ms. Marshall on behalf of Azerbaijan’s Embassy.
