Husband of Dmitry Grigoriu: ‘Aurelia Grigoriu is afraid to leave the hotel in Yerevan because of threats’

Moldovan FM is going to send a note to Armenia: diplomatic missions in Yerevan have been appealed to ensure the safety of Parliamentary Advocate

‘After her speech at Armenian parliament, Moldovan Parliamentary Advocate Aurelia Grigoriu has been subjected to threats, even she is afraid to leave the hotel,’ husband of Parliamentary Advocate Dmitry Grigoriu told APA.

To him, after the speech at the parliament, her wife has been subjected to numerous threats on the social networks: ‘Tonight, Aurelia had to return to Moldova. But, she wasn’t taken with the Moldovan delegation to the airport. They refused to provide this service. Other delegations left the hotel, but she stayed there. Last night, the Parliamentary Advocate was guaranteed to be taken to the airport safely. Her reservation term at the hotel will end after an hour and a half’.

Dmitry Grigoriu said that currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova is preparing to send a note to Armenia: ‘Embassies of different countries in Yerevan have been informed about the situation. We try to take steps for her protection’.

The lawyer of the family told that there is no Moldovan embassy in Yerevan and Aurelia Grigoriu is also a citizen of Romania. Therefore, the family has appealed to the Romanian embassy in Yerevan to ensure the safety of the Parliamentary Advocate. The embassy has not responded to this request up to now.

Addressing the international conference of Constitutional Court of Armenia in Yerevan, Moldovan Parliamentary Advocate Aurelia Grigoriu accused Armenia of occupying Azerbaijani territories and committing genocide against the Azerbaijanis in Khojaly.
