Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has inspected construction work at a recreation complex consisting of a park, a garden and a fountain facility at the crossroads of Fuzuli and Mirzaga Aliyev streets in Baku.
Large-scaled work continues to improve and modernize infrastructure in Baku. The recreation complex at the crossroads of Fuzuli and Mirzaga Aliyev streets is located on an underground parking facility.
Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov told the Head of State the park would be the largest facility of its kind in the capital. He said nearly 2,000 trees, and more than 10,000 bushes and decorative flowers would be planted in the park, which occupied a total area of seven hectares.
An architectural apartment building near the complex is being slid backwards 10.5 meters without being pulled down. The President watched the process, which is carried out by Dutch company Bresser. The Head of State was told the process would come to an end this evening.
