‘Paris meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers was not satisfactory’

"The proposals that we wanted to make to Armenia were possibly rejected rashly"

"The recent Paris meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers has not produced different results, either. There is a tradition that does not satisfy us," Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov told journalists.

He said the position demonstrated by Armenian Foreign Minister at the meeting does not differ from those demonstrated at the previous meetings.

"Paris meeting was not satisfactory. The proposals that we wanted to make to Armenia were possibly rejected rashly. Taking into account that the opposite side issued critical messages, a tendency is being felt towards negative development. A new initiative should be made to the Minsk process. Azerbaijan has put forward this initiative. Unfortunately, Armenia has not made a positive reply," he said.
