In 2013, it is expected to start activities of the commissions to address the technical issues of export of Russian equipment from the Gabala radar station.
The statement came from Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov on the sidelines of the 5th session of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly.
According to him, the decision related to the decommissioning by Russia of the Gabala radar station was made within the legal framework.
"The terms on the rent of the station have expired, and the fact that no agreement was reached on the new terms of the lease, it was decided to close the Gabala radar station," he stressed.
