Azerbaijani ambassador to Hungary Vilayat Guliyev and State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Relations, co-chairman of the Azerbaijani-Hungarian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation Péter Szijjártó have discussed the issue of returning of Azerbaijani officer Ramil Safarov, convicted in Hungary, and the situation over the issue.
The sides stressed that the issue was resolved within the international law, Azerbaijani ambassador to Hungary Vilayat Guliyev said today.
Azerbaijani officer Ramil Safarov, who was convicted in Hungary, returned on Friday to Azerbaijan. The same day, under the order of the head of state, he was pardoned.
