Azerbaijani government is seriously preparing for winning the bid for hosting Euro-2020.
The statement came from deputy chairman of the Yeni Azerbaijan party Ali Ahmadov.
He said Azerbaijan’s achievements encourage the Azerbaijani people and the worthy hosting of Eurovision 2012 song contest once again showed our strength and that Azerbaijan is able to host the biggest international events.
"However, only a part of the so-called radical opposition, which thus rises against the people’s will. These people consider all achievements of Azerbaijan as their failures and if any political force has chosen such a tactic, it is doomed to failure", she said.
Ahmadov said that by its development Azerbaijan has already proven that it is a successful state that turned into one of the strongest regional powers. As a sample, he noted that Azerbaijan accounts for 80% of the South Caucasus economy.
"Our development is felt not only in economy but also in other spheres and our people always supports the successful policy of the head of state. And no libelous statements of radical opposition will influence our successes. Azerbaijan continues developing at a high pace", he said.
