Ombudsperson Elmira Suleymanova told the statement to journalists.
According to the Azerbaijani human rights defender, the senior doctor of the hospital where Abbasov is treated was instructed to keep his health under supervision.
"This supervision is being implemented. Yesterday we again visited him together with employees of the State Oil Company (SOCAR) and learnt his health condition," Suleymanova said.
