I repeat the thesis that we stated many times: Azerbaijan didn’t, doesn’t and will not allow any action against Iran, Turkey, Russia and Georgia from its territory".
The statement came from the head of the public policy department of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov commenting on some Western press reports that Israel uses the territory of Azerbaijan against Iran.
Hasanov called these reports a speculation by some forces, which try to provoke tensions between the sides.
"Some separate opposition forces or international organizations and their press are trying to use the current situation around Iran, to provoke confrontation between Iran and Azerbaijan, to damage relations between the two countries and to sow discord between them.
We synonymously urge those countries and forces that they will not achieve their goals. No one can damage relations between Azerbaijan and Iran and other neighbor countries, except Armenia".
Azerbaijan’s position due to "presidential elections" which will be held by Armenian separatists in the so-called "Nagorno Karabakh Republic" is unambiguous.
No one recognizes the regime in the Nagorno Karabakh. Every action held there, including political one, is illegal and has negative effect on the peace talks", head of Public Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov said.
He underlined that the OSCE Minsk Group and all international organizations were repeatedly addressed concerning the abovementioned cases: "We expressed our protest many times and will do it now. The countries, OSCE Minsk Group also condemn such actions. The elections of this regime can not be recognized by anyone because nobody recognizes this regime. From the other side, these "elections" will have negative effect on peacekeeping process because the citizens, who were expelled from Nagorno Karabakh, will not participate in these elections".
"There is an initiative to establish monument or museum complex in commemoration of the victims of genocide against Azerbaijanis.
The initiative is learned by the Presidential Administration and evaluated by the corresponding organizations", Ali Hasanov said.
Hasanov said that they were learning the issues concerning the venue and form of the monument or museum complex and discussing the possibilities of contest to be announced for it: "These issues are on agenda, but no decision has been passed still. We think it is important to establish such museum in the context of formation of national memory, linking historical past, today and future, forming public opinion about this genocide".
March 31 is the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis.
