The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan held an emergency meeting presided by Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov due to landslide occurred on Baku-Shamakhi-Yevlakh highway.
The statement came from chief Engineer of Complex Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology Expedition of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry Shaig Niftiyev.
According to him, the instructions were given to the corresponding organizations for taking necessary measures due to landslide.
Niftiyev said that they approved proposals on carrying out engineering-geological studies in the landslide areas, the suspension of construction work, technogenic activity at the site, complete limitation of traffic towards Agsu passage of Baku-Shamakhi-Yevlakh highway.
According to the chief engineer, the instructions were given at the meeting on carrying out recovery work for restoration of traffic.
