Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Jordan's King Abdullah II has met on the sidelines of the Summit on Nuclear Security in Seoul, according to Jordanian media.
The Summit on Nuclear Safety, which began its work on 26 March, is dedicated to the prevention of nuclear terrorism posing serious threat to the international community in the XXI century.
The agenda of the summit which takes place with participation of heads of states and governments of more than 50 countries, heads of international organizations, includes the issues of nuclear safety, combating nuclear terrorism, protection of nuclear materials and nuclear facilities, preventing illicit trafficking of nuclear materials, as well as problems of nuclear safety against the background of accidents at nuclear power plants Fukushima.
According to analysts, participation of President Ilham Aliyev, the head of the leading state in the South Caucasus, in the Seoul summit is a measure of value which is given to our country internationally.
