"I have submitted a proposal to the Turkish parliament to recognize Khojaly tragedy as genocide. This event was recognized by the Turkish parliament as a crime against humanity and massacre. But recognition of Khojaly as genocide will take long time", said Turkish MP from the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Sinan Ogan. He said that the world parliaments usually pursue a policy not recognize such acts as genocide: "This is a sensitive issue. Turkey named Khojaly tragedy as a crime against humanity and massacre. I consider that our draft law will be adopted during the next period. The main thing is that Turkey showed its support to the people of Azerbaijan."
