The issues of military cooperation were discussed at the meeting, Minister Safar Abiyev touched on the military, political situation in the region, the ministry’s press service told.
He noted that Azerbaijan’s territories are still under occupation and said the activity of the Minsk Group has not produced concrete results.
Iulian Fota said they are interested in the enhancement of the strategic cooperation between Romania and Azerbaijan. The guest also said he is well-informed about Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
Assistant of Azerbaijani President on defense issues, Lieutenant-General Vahid Aliyev and Romanian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Daniel Christian Ciobanu also attended the meeting.
