President Ilham Aliyev receives Turkish delegation led by head of Religious Affairs Directorate Mehmet Gormez
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received today the Turkish
delegation led by head of Religious Affairs Directorate Mehmet Gormez.
The Head of State emphasized that friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are `successfully developing in all fields`.
The
President said Azerbaijan hosted various international events on
religious and spiritual values, including the 1st World Summit of
Religious Leaders in Baku, expressing significance of "such events" in
terms of expanding cooperation.
President Ilham Aliyev said the
visit of the head of Turkey`s Religious Affairs Directorate Mehmet
Gormez to Azerbaijan will make a contribution to further strengthening
ties in this field.
The Head of the Religious Affairs Directorate
conveyed greetings and best regards of President Abdullah Gul and Prime
Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the Azerbaijani leader. Gormez said
five years had passed since his last visit to Baku, adding he "is
witnessing huge development in the country".
President Ilham Aliyev
thanked for greetings from President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and asked Gormez to pass on his greetings to them.
