The new
European Union Special Representative (EUSR) for the South Caucasus and the
crisis in
Lefort said his visit to the South Caucasus is an evidence of EU`s placing a
serious importance on the region.
"This region is very important for the EU. This is why after my appointment I
want to visit the three countries of the region," he added.
During the 2-day visit, the Special Representative is scheduled to meet with
Azerbaijani officials.
