An 11-year-old boy has been banned from taking part in World Book Day activities at his school after turning up dressed as a Fifty Shades of Grey character.
Liam Scholes, from Manchester, arrived for lessons at Sale High School wearing a Christian Grey costume, complete with cable ties and eye mask.
The school had asked Year 7 pupils to dress up as famous literary characters to celebrate World Book Day.
Liam was then told by the school that his outfit was ‘offensive’ and told he could not participate in activities or the class photograph.
His mother Nicola Scholes, 36, was called and told the outfit was inappropriate.
