"TransCaspian construction project is not project of Azerbaijan.
It is project of Turkmenistan and the EU. Azerbaijan does not take part here as a partner", SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said while commenting on the information spread in foreign media about reaching an agreement between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan on construction of TransCaspian gas pipeline.
As he said, realization of the project concern Turkmenistan and the EU. Azerbaijan can perform here as a transit country: "After mutual agreement of these sides, we will view the issue. We are not a partner, we have not gas or other interests there".
Abdullayev noted that Azerbaijan considers this project only as an observer.
