A total of 168 terrorists from PKK have been killed in a military operation in the eastern part of Turkey since Dec. 15, military sources said Wednesday.
The operation has been continuing in the southeastern provinces of Diyarbakir, Sirnak and Mardin, with curfews declared to fight the terrorists nested in citizens' homes.
As part of the operation, 113 terrorists were killed in the Cizre district and nine were killed in the Silopi district of Sirnak. In Diyarbakir's Sur district, 23 terrorists were killed.
In Mardin province, 16 terrorists were killed in the district of Dargecit and three in the Nusaybin district. In the eastern province of Bitlis, the security forces neutralized four terrorists.
In addition, one terrorist was captured alive in the operation launched in Cizre district.
