Nearly 1,000 horse and donkey corpses were found 250-300 meters off the automobile road in Qimilqishlaq village of Khachmaz region, SIA reports.
Forest guard Ilyas Ilyasov says he’s new in this position and that he discovered this mass animal carrions as he was having a look at the area at the end of his shift. He also said in three other places in the forest such places exist, and that he had already informed the authorities about it.
Flesh of these animals is believed to have been used in the production of sausage. Remains of the animals are brought to the area in the evening hours.
