Dr Rajesh and Nupur Talwar found guilty of sensational double murder
New Delhi: Law finally caught up with the dentist couple as Dr. Rajesh and Nupur Talwar were found guilty for the sensational double murder of their only daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj five-and-a-half years ago.
A special Central Bureau of Investigation court of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, headed by Judge Shyam Lal, found the couple guilty of the twin murders. Rajesh was also convicted for destruction of evidence and filing of a wrong FIR (first information report) with the Noida police.
The duo were charged for murdering their daughter Aarushi on May 16, 2008, 15 days before she would have turned 15, along with Hemraj in their Noida flat allegedly after catching them in a compromising situation.
The dentist couple, who were out on bail, was taken into custody immediately after they were pronounced guilty and sent to Dasna jail.
