A citizen of Azerbaijan wounded as a result of the PKK terrorists’ attack in Iğdır province.
Dogan news agency reports that the incident took place on September 10 at 19.20 by local time.
The terrorist group of about 30 people cut the road through Dashburun village between Garagoyunlu and Aralig settlements of Iğdır. The terrorists stopped and burned a truck. They tried to stop the other cars, but they moved off from the site. Then the terrorists opened fire on them by automatic weapons. As a result 2 Turkish citizens – Ali Adem, Erol Birsen and Azerbaijani citizen Suleymanov were wounded. It is reported that the state of Adem is serious, but the states of Birsen and Suleymanov are normal. The wounded people are treating at the Iğdır State Hospital.
The gendarmeries immediately arrived in the site. The terrorists ran to Agri province. Gendarmeries are continuing search operations.
Spokesman for the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elman Abdullayev said that according to preliminary information, Suleymanov is a citizen of Azerbaijan Sadarak’s region: "His surname is known, at present his name is being specified."
