Prosecutor General’s Office and Interior Ministry issued statement on the arrest
of police major.
Press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office told SIA that Ramin Mammadov called 102 service of the Interior Ministry and said Khazar district police officer, major Togrul Huseynov demanded AZN 1000 from him for permission to construct two-storey house.
As a result of the measures taken by the operation group of the Interior Ministry and Department to Combat Corruption under Prosecutor General’s Office, Togrul Huseynov was caught red-handed while taking the bribe from the citizen in his office.
Department to Combat Corruption under Prosecutor General’s Office has launched criminal case on the fact on article 311.2 (taking bribes) of the Criminal Code. Court passed a decision to put Togrul Huseynov under restraint.
The law-enforcement bodies continue taking measures to prevent and detect the cases of corruption.
