Azerbaijan-Lithuania business forum held in Baku within the official visit of speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas Irena Degutienė. The event, which brought together officials and businessmen of the two countries, was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Azerbaijan`s Investments and Export Promotion Foundation (AzPromo). Speaker of Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov made an opening speech.
Ogtay Asadov stressed that Azerbaijan was in the leader position in the region.
Speaker of Lithuanian Seym Irene Dyagutene noted that this forum would support the development of relations between two countries, extension of Lithuanian business in Azerbaijan.
She also noted that Lithuania had a great experience in environmental protection and food industry and they are ready to share this experience with Azerbaijan.
A presentation on business and investment opportunities was held at the end of business forum and Lithuanian Inta and Azerbaijani Kiber Companies have signed a memorandum of agreement. Near 60 Azerbaijani and near 20 Lithuanian companies are participated at the meeting.
