"The number of business entities in Azerbaijan increased by 2.7 times during 2004-2014 years", Minister of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev said at the conference on "10 years of development: 2004-2014".
The Minister noted that as the result of works done in this direction strong private sector formed in Azerbaijan, thousands of high-tech enterprises were created based on modern technologies, entrepreneurs started to operate in foreign countries.
The share of private sector in employment increased by 74 percent, while 72,4 percent in tax revenue.
The share of the private sector reached 82.5 percent of gross domestic product.
