Our goal is to achieve an increase in the number of tourists by 30-40% in the next 3-4 years. By 2020, we are expecting at least 5m tourists a year, Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev stated.
"This will allow the tourism sector of Azerbaijan to use all its features. Currently, the EU twinning project for tourism development until 2024 is being implemented in the country. Along with other measures, the improvement of control mechanism in the tourism sector is considered as well," said the minister.
