SOCAR has halted gas export to Russia.
The company told that the halt was caused by the maintenance works conducted since March 7 in the main gas pipeline.
As repair works are conducted near the border with Russia, no problem connected with gas supply occurred in Azerbaijan’s northern regions. Gas export to Russia will be restored after the maintenance works. But exact date has not been publicized yet.
Note that, in 2012, Azerbaijan is scheduled to export 3 bln cubic meters of gas to Russia.
