Georgia may close borders for Russian citizens

Member of the Georgian Parliament, opposition politician Nona Mamulashvili said that male Russian citizens could be banned from entering the country from September 26, SİA informs.

Mamulashvili said on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel Freedom that the flow of citizens of the Russian Federation traveling to Georgia for several days remains big.

She noted that the Georgian government has not yet taken any measures regarding this situation. At the same time, she said that the authorities promise to close the country's borders from September 26.

“From Monday, Georgia will close the borders for men from 18 to 55 years old,” Mamulashvili said and stressed that this decision has not yet been officially made.
