Kazakhstan will actively participate during COP29 event

"Kazakhstan has set a firm goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 15% by 2030, and, in the best-case scenario, if supported by international financial institutions, emissions are expected to decrease by up to 25% by 2030," said Kazakh Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel, who presented Kazakhstan's climate initiatives during the international symposium on "Sustainability and innovation in agricultural and water resource management" held within the framework of COP29 at ADA University, APA reports.

He emphasized that Kazakhstan is working on fulfilling its commitments under international climate agreements.

Touching on the topic of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held in Baku, A. Bayel stated that Kazakhstan will actively participate to ensure the productivity of the event.
