After the collapse of the Assad regime in Syria, it is absolutely essential to restore peace and stability in the country and to put an end to the civil conflict, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov said at the 11th D-8 Summit in Cairo, SİA reports.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Azerbaijan once again reaffirms its support for Syria's territorial integrity and sovereignty: "We hope that all issues will be resolved in accordance with the will of the Syrian people and through internal political dialogue. Azerbaijan will not hesitate to provide its support in addressing the humanitarian problems faced by the Syrian people. We continue to maintain close contacts with our brotherly Turkiye in this regard to take practical steps."
