Russia’s share in arms supplies to Armenia falls to less than 10%

Russia’s share in arms supply agreements with Armenia has fallen from 96% in 2020 to less than 10% currently, said Secretary of the Security Council of the country Armen Grigoryan, SİA informs referring to Armenian media.

He noted that in 2020, 96% of Armenia’s military-technical cooperation came from Russia. “From January 2021 to this day, we have concluded agreements with different countries worth several billion dollars. In these agreements, Russia’s share is less than 10%,” he said.

Grigoryan also emphasized that since 2021, the Armenian side has been trying to buy weapons from Russia, and also prepared, together with the Russian Federation, a comprehensive program of reforms in the Armenian Armed Forces, which was planned to be implemented jointly.
