Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) denied the news reports claiming that Palestinian leader was against Turkish premier's visit to Gaza.
The ministry said on Thursday that the news stories, which claimed that Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas objected the visit of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Gaza, were groundless.
Earlier, Erdogan said he would go to Gaza after his visit to the United States.
Erdogan is planning to travel to the US on May 14.
